sketchy movie & bus schedules...

so saturday night was full of complications. we decided we wanted to go to a movie that night so we looked up movies and decided to go to dark knight i was so excited to see it again. we planned out bus times and went about our day grocery shopping and what not. when the time came, we got ready and left to go to the cinema. we waited at our bus stop, it came on time, and then had to transfer buses at rygos. we knew we had to wait like 3 minutes til our bus came but we waited for about 30 minutes and it finally came. so we eventually got to the cinema in time for our movie. welll.... when we went to get our tickets..the lady looked at us like we were idiots for wanting to see dark knight because "it not play no more" hhahahha. cool, so take it off the internet you dumbos. hahah we ended up seeing bourne legacy. i hadnt seen the previous 3 so i was super confused the entire time but it was a good movie nonetheless.  anyways, after we got out of the movie and went to our bus stop, we had missed the last bus to take us home... by 5 minutes. sweet. so we walked down the street (its 11:30pm by the way) and just hoped we could get on a bus that would go in the direction we wanted. we eventually got on one that was right and rode it to where we started feeling familiarized and walked (7ish minutes) the rest of the way..... needless to say we were exhausted. a 2 hour movie turned into a whole thing. it was a fun adventure though.

us, waiting for our bus. 1 of 7 for the night.....
and now for the sunday extravaganza. church starts for us at 10am. so we found a bus that would pick us up right outside of our apartment building to another bus stop, we would have to wait there for 10 minutes and ride the bus for about 8 minutes and it would drop us off right in front of the building. so we would get there on time, if not 20ish minutes early.
.... well. first off, me being the smart person i am felt outside and said, sweet sweater weather and just put on a cute cardigan on over my dress, nice leggings and walked out the door with a hop, jump and a little skip in my self. just happy to be alive. we got on the bus, right on time and then went to the next stop to transfer.... and it never came. never came. never came. so we decided to walk a bit further. we ended up walking for like 20 minutes and found another bus stop. by that time we were on the same street as the church, but church was sooooooooooo far down the road. after waiting 10ish minutes we decided to hop on the next bus and ride it until it turned from the road we needed. well that worked out until it only went halfway down the street and we had to get out. by this time we decided to walk the rest of the way. we got to church at 10:20ish and it all ended up being okay.
BUT the way home was not as good. it had dropped 10 degrees and started doing the mist rain that lithuania is famous for. picture walking with a mist-er 24-7 in your face, with bone chilling winds, and about 50 degrees. just a day at the beach right? WRONG! and add a small cardigan, and calf leggings. im smart.
we walked to our stop and waited for 35 minutes. shocker, it never came. so we got on the next bus and decided to try and ride it cause we had semi been getting lucky with that the past few times. well no cigar cause it stopped at the next stop after we got on it. so we had to get out, wait til the next bus came and tried randomly riding that one. a girl that we are friends with from our ward was on it and came up and helped us/laughed at us and said that we needed to follow her. she had us get off at the next stop, get on a trolley and it took us semi past our house. we then had to get off, take another trolley to the maxima by our house and walk from there. I WAS SOAKING WET. we all were so cold. i honestly dont remember a time in my life being THAT cold. it was insane. we finally ended up getting back from church at 2:45pm... yeah church ended at 1........

i put my head into jens hoodie to warm my face up... i was getting desperate

soppping wet, yet the church is still true!!!!
so, the moral of this story. all my utahan followers, PLEASE do not EVER take advantage of the fact that we are a car friendly world, with 5 churches within a 5-7 minute walking distance. i know i wont ever forget this. i am forever grateful for church back home!
that, and movie theatre websites are liars and bus schedules are sketchy.

goodnight everyone!!!!!
